IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ORRO SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES: MODEL O37-R LOT 2603-01

We are aware of the Spanish consumer alert concerning certain ORRO solar eclipse glasses and would like to clarify exactly which product is affected and the action we have taken.

The alert applies only to ORRO model O37-R, Lot/Batch 2603-01, a limited production batch manufactured in March 2026.

No other ORRO models or production batches are included in this alert. All other ORRO models and batches remain unaffected and valid for use when used according to the product instructions.

The concern raised regarding Batch 2603-01 was not that the filters were allowing harmful levels of solar radiation to pass through them. Rather, the filters were considered too dark, which could make it difficult for a user to immediately locate the Sun while wearing the glasses. The concern was that a user might then lift or reposition the glasses to find the Sun, potentially exposing their eyes directly to sunlight during that moment.

We treated the matter with the utmost seriousness. As soon as we became aware of the concern, we commissioned additional independent third-party testing against EN ISO 12312-2:2015, the applicable standard for filters used for direct observation of the Sun. The samples tested passed the requirements assessed under the standard, including the light-transmission requirement directly related to the concern raised, as well as the applicable ultraviolet and infrared protection requirements.

Based on these results, we are formally disputing the measure relating to Batch 2603-01 with the Spanish authorities and are addressing the matter through the appropriate regulatory channels.

We understand the importance of complete confidence in a product designed for direct solar viewing. We acted immediately to independently verify the product's performance and will continue to treat consumer safety as our highest priority.

To reiterate: the Spanish alert is limited exclusively to ORRO O37-R, Lot/Batch 2603-01.
